E42 - Kevin Sinfield: How to inspire through your actions

Kevin Sinfield is the current Leeds Rhinos Director of Rugby after returning to the club where he became a legend. Kevin won seven Grand Finals, two Challenge Cups, three World Club Challenges and three League Leaders Shields in his time with the Rhinos. 

Kevin played 521 games for the club, finishing with 3,968 points including 1,832 goals. Since leaving the Rhinos, he took up the position as Rugby Director with the Rugby Football League and was a key part of the World Cup management team that took England back to the World Cup Final in December 2017.

In 2020 Kevin set the challenge to run 7 marathons in 7 days hoping to raise £77,777 in honour of his best Rob Burrow, who wore the No 7 shirt. He raised more than £2.5 million to help his friend’s family and the fight against MND.

By winning the featherweight world title in 2016, Carl became the first boxer from Northern Ireland to have held world titles in two weight classes. 


Nicknamed The Jackal, Carl is preparing to become only the third post-war British fighter to win world titles at three different weights as well as the only Irish fighter to have achieved the feat when he meets WBO super-featherweight champion Jamel Herring.

Eddie Jones one of the most experienced and decorated coaches in Rugby Union and the current head coach of England. Since taking over in in 2015, Eddie has orchestrated a complete revival of the national team, winning the Six Nations back-to-back, including England’s first Grand Slam in a generation and their first-ever whitewash of Australia in their own backyard. Eddie also led the team on their longest-ever winning streak, matching the world record held by the All Blacks.


Eddie’s career has spanned four World Cups: from the 2003 final, working with South Africa when they won in 2007, and causing one the greatest upsets in the game when he masterminded the Japanese victory over South Africa in 2015. Most recently, he led England on their incredible run at the 2019 World Cup, culminating in a stunning victory against the All Blacks before falling to South Africa in the final.

Kasper Schmeichel is a Premier League winner with Leicester City, a club where he’s been the No.1 goalkeeper throughout the entirety of his time at King Power Stadium, where he’s also lifted Championship titles, as well as playing in the UEFA Champions League.

Kasper has previously had loan spells from Manchester City to Darlington, Bury, Falkirk, Cardiff City and Coventry City, including a one-year permanent spell at Notts County, before signing from Leeds United for Leicester in 2011.

Son of Manchester United legend Peter, Kasper is the first choice keeper for Denmark and is the current ‘Danish Footballer of the Year’. Kasper played every minute of the 2015/16 Premier League season when the Foxes won the title in one of the all time greatest sporting stories.
