Pre-season testing for the 2023 Formula 1 season is finished. To bring to you the key takeaways for every Formula 1 team, we have F1 TV's Tech Talk's Craig Scarborough aka @ScarbsTech join us as a guest for this special episode.
Is porpoising a thing of the past? Will Mercedes continue with their 0.5 sidepod concept? Is Aston Martin really as quick as testing suggested? Can Ferrari take the fight to Red Bull Racing? And what about Williams, AlphaTauri and Haas? Also, is Mclaren really in trouble after testing woes?
In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Soumil Arora spoke to @ScarbsTech about design innovations for the upcoming season, his personal journey as Formula 1's most-engaged tech guru and predictions. Tune in!
Yes, P for testing it is. You have to tune in to know why!
In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, the trio (Soumil, @f1statsguru & Kunal), get together to discuss the main talking points from the upcoming (& only) pre-season test in Bahrain.
MEET US: 26th February in Mumbai. Venue: Palladium Social (from 5-7pm)
We will discuss best moments from Drive to Survive (season 5) + stories from pre-season testing. And of course, an engaging F1 quiz hosted by @f1statsguru.
India's most-experienced Formula 1 journalists (FIA-accredited) Abhishek Takle will be our guest for the upcoming F1 Pitstop with the Inside Line F1 Podcast.
Will porpoising continue to trouble teams? How will the rookies fare, and what about the 'young' Fernando Alonso?
Nico Hulkenberg hasn't been at work full-time since 3 years. Also, new design innovations, FIA-F1 friction and above all else, the lack of absolute clarity as to who is the quickest (or in fact, the slowest) from testing.
There's a lot of banter and information to look forward to in this episode. Tune in!
All 10 teams have launched their 2023 cars in the last two weeks. What's next?
Pre-season testing, of course. 'Testing is boring', they say.
Trust us, 'they' and you need to hear our F1 Explained episode about pre-season testing. We tell you WHY it's exciting.
But before that, we dive into what exactly is a pre-season test? Why do Formula 1 teams and drivers need to 'test'? Why are there only 3 days of testing? Do the teams-drivers HAVE to participate in the test?
And finally, can the results from pre-season testing be taken seriously? Like, will we know which team-driver is the title favourite for the 2023 Formula 1 season?
It's 'car launch season' in Formula 1. Or is it? Formula 1 teams are launching liveries under the guise of a car launch. Understandably, fans aren't pleased.
As we build up to the 2023 Formula 1 season, we will simplify Formula 1 for you via our new series called 'F1 Explained'. It only seemed apt that our opening episode would talk about Formula 1 car launches...and how the primary audience are the team's sponsors. (Sorry to burst your bubble!)
Why do teams not use their latest cars? Why can't all teams have one grand launch event? And finally, some very fascinating car launches from history.
Whether you're a new fan ('Drive to Survive' converted) or a Formula 1 veteran, F1 Explained will aim to simplify the complexities of Formula 1 in five mins or less.
It's our version of the 'explain to me like I'm a five year old!'
Let's know how you like our new series AND if you have specific questions for us to get to first.
This episode is hands down our most-special episode. We recorded our early & bold (or boldest!) predictions for the 2023 Formula 1 season...with a live audience. Yes, we engaged with some of our most-ardent listeners (who also happen to be Formula 1 fans, of course) in the real world.
As you all know, we hosted our first-ever meet-up in the physical world in mid-January in Mumbai. Here's a glimpse of the fun we had - lots of banter, serious talk, predictions and above all else the joy of meeting you all.
We will have more meet-ups. We will scale-up & be in your city (or country!?) sooner than later, we hope.
But for now, sit back & listen to one of our finest episodes yet.
Happy New Year! But of course, we have to wait a few months before wishing each other a happy new season!
Announcement - we're planning our first offline meet-up in Mumbai on 15th January. (More details to follow on our socials)
We start 2023 with one of our best episodes - yes, it's a re-visit from when the legendary broadcaster and award-winning journalist Peter Windsor was a guest on our show.
Tune in to hear Peter narrate stories about the still-born USF1 Team, F1 in America & driver shoot-outs. Are they really a good way to assess driver talent? And why the current driver academies are in a serious need of a revamp.
This is probably our final episode of 2022 - and it's a re-run of our most-popular episode from the Force India F1 Team stories. In this episode, Soumil Arora hosts former Force India F1 Team members, Ravikant Sabnavis and Kunal Shah (yes, he's also one of our co-hosts), to share interesting stories of their time with the team.
In this episode, the duo share how the Force India F1 Team discussed interest in hiring the legendary Adrian Newey, how Vijay Mallya wasn't the first owner of choice & how another popular Indian Motorsport figure let the opportunity to own the Silverstone-based team go by. Tune in!
'Lucky' is easily one of the most-awaited Motorsport series in Formula 1's ongoing winter break. Directed by award-winner Manish Pandey (of 'Senna' fame), Lucky is narrated by Formula 1's original Ringmaster & Wizard of Oz, Bernie Ecclestone.
In this episode of the Inside Line F1 Podcast, Manish Pandey (who also wrote-produced 'Senna') shares behind-the-scenes moments from Lucky - how it was to work with Bernie Ecclestone, why the show is called 'Lucky', why Formula 1 fans (new and old!) should look forward to his upcoming production that will premiere on 27th December across various markets...and more.
This episode left us with goosebumps & excitement as we countdown to the 27th...
